The history of the restaurant and the name comes with a story, John Cochrane, the original owner of Mad Millies bought a building in Uxbridge on a whim at an auction without consulting with his wife. Millie was upset about the entire thing and the name Mad Millie’s was born. John and Millie ran this restaurant proudly in Uxbridge for over 30 years. They have also been a part of the Sunderland and Port Perry Fall Fairs and have now been involved with the Havelock Jamboree for the last few years.
Today, John and Millie’s daughter Carrie and her husband Nick have taken on the responsibility of carrying on the name and tradition of Mad Millie’s. Nick is a trained Chef and has worked in restaurants and the food industry most of his adult life and Carrie literally has grown up in the restaurant business, so with this they hope to continue on with the success of this great restaurant. Together they have added many items to the already tasty menu, including, fresh salads, sandwiches, daily lunch specials and homemade pizza. Everything on the menu is made from scratch, including the desserts.
So, if you are looking for a place to go with your family that has great food, a cozy atmosphere and friendly service, you have come to the right place.
