Nerd Gigs is offering on-site technical support in Ottawa for home computers for $20/hr (plus $20 if travel outside Mooney's Bay is involved). It was founded in March 2012 by Kevan St. John. He is also the on-site tech, and website guy, and everything else. He's educated in Computer Science and has over five years in industry technical support with Dell, Rogers and Bell.

While on site, he will explain all his actions, ask permission before making any changes, log all changes made, and provide a receipt for services.

So whether it's speeding up a bogged-down system, setting up a home wireless network, anti-virus concerns, consulting for buying hardware, or even computer tutorials, $20 an hour is all you need.
