Fifteen years ago, Wade Watts was rendered bound to a wheelchair. Following a serious and sudden accident that accelerated his preexisting, undiagnosed, and rare form of Multiple Sclerosis. Forced to completely change his life, Wade becomes a law professor, and accessibility project manager at Loyalist College. Teaching health & safety law, project management, and contract law. Appalled that 62% of people in wheelchairs are shut-ins, he has also become an activist of accessibility issues. Personally visiting over 250 businesses and members of parliament, at the Federal, Provincial, and local levels in Ontario, Canada. Believing that education, innovative thinking, and planning are required to push aside old notions that accessibility compliance can only be achieved with high-cost solutions. Spreading the word that low-cost solutions do exist that can open up AODA compliance to businesses and government organizations of every size and budget.
