Serving to enrich, share and reflect Italian-Canadian culture, adding to the richness of Toronto`s diversity.
Since its inauguration more than 25 years ago, the Columbus Centre has served as a community hub, bringing together the richness of Italian-Canadian culture to the thousands who visit the centre every year. One major attraction in the facility is the Carrier Gallery. Established in 1978, it`s often referred to as the `mini-Guggenheim, ` boasting 21, 000 square feet of exhibition space and 750 linear feet of wall space. The Cultural Arts Department offers a number of programs for children and adults, including dance, music and cooking. There are also dining & banquet facilities, catering to casual and fine dining, weddings, banquets, conferences and special events. For those with health in mind, there is a fitness club with cardiovascular and aerobic workouts, strength training, swimming, as well as spinning and circuit training. The Children's Centre caters to kids 18 months to 12 years. For more information, visit them online, where you can find out about their current programs.
